About Us
Music and You, founded by Lou MacLachlan in 2012, combines Lou's love of music and experience working as a Music Therapist and private flute/guitar teacher to provide Music Therapy for children, their families and adults, and Early Childhood Music Groups for 0-5 yr olds, homeschool groups and groups tailored to suit you in a gentle, supportive and encouraging environment.
Lou is also now offering professional development for educators, health professionals and parents on how to make the most of music in their roles.

Lou is a Registered Music Therapist, holding a
B.Music and Gr.Dip. Music Therapy
and is an NDIS Provider (for self & plan managed participants). Lou has undertaken additional training in 2021 to become a Neurologic Music Therapist.

Lou is also a Clinical Specialist for Play Matters Australia, and an experienced facilitator of the Sing & Grow program.

Music and You is based near Boonah and provides a mobile service
in the Scenic Rim and Ipswich areas.
Music and You acknowledges and respects the traditional owners of the lands we work on: the Yugambeh, Mununjali, Yugarapul and Tulmur peoples. We recognise the enduring kinship and songlines retained in these lands and we cherish the rich and ongoing connections First Nations Peoples have to Country, culture, song, knowledge, and artistic expression, and endeavour to learn about and incorporate these more into our work.
